Birth at Acuario, Beniarbeig

baby5Thanks to the contributions of our members you will find lots of first-hand experiences of giving birth all over Spain in the Birth Experiences section of our Forum community including Amelie's account of her experience at the Acuario in Beniarbeig as well extra comments from other mums who have also given birth there.

There is a lot of feedback on this particular forum thread so if you are looking for information about this specific clinic you will really benefit from taking a look. Here is some of what you can read from Amelie's account:

"I gave birth at the Acuario in Beniarbeig" by forum member Amelie

After huge consideration, I decided to go private for my daughters birth in Spain, primarily because I was worried about the language barrier, secondly because I'd heard such horror stories about my local "free" hospital and thirdly because this hospital offered the possiblity of a "natural" birth.

I have to say I did have a good experience and a natural birth, although I never made it to the birthing pool in the end!
I have come to the conclusion that it really is best to keep an open mind as I have since heard negative stories about this hospital too!

If anyone is considering using this hospital I would be happy to try and answer any questions to the best of my and a few friends knowledge!

Hospital Costa del Sol Experience

baby1 100I gave birth to my first child on 20th January 2007 at the Costa Del Sol Hospital. It was a fantastic experience and the care could not have been better. I had debated returning to England for the birth, (we are not on the social security system nor do we have private medical insurance) and had also heard horror stories about episiotomies and stirrups!
